Meeting Empty

Meeting Empty

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz

Meeting Empty

After a slow long blizzard of thought
I arrested myself to the charms of an empty head
Oh Reverberations!
Oh silence in my empty tube!
I kinda like myself best when nothing
shakes hands with emptiness's paw!

'Meeting Empty'
Alfred Kukitz,
I get this one. It is in the times when life has given me challenge. My brain just is in need of a break from analyzing and trying to make sense of life issues. I draw a blank. It's then that I seek a quiet spot, a lovely coffee of mocha and a book. Being good to oneself is my go too. It probably wouldn't hurt if a did it more often. Your use of 'blizzard of thought, Oh reverberations! and other vibration electronic theme really works here. I also couldn't help wonder what if anything inspired it. So fun!

Dear Marge!

Hi Sweetie! My emptiness seems to be following my tail. Nothing written in several days yet I never worry patience comes with the comfort of waiting.

Your lively uninhibited poem embracing so-called "writers block" . . . reminds me of how I used to have trouble turning off my thoughts to meditate, but nowadays, my mind spontaneously blanks out all the time! Instead of trying to meditate when I have things to think about, I just seize those times of nothingness & afterward I pronounce that I've just been meditating! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie
