To Make the Rocks Shine

Beauty can be huge and blinding- like a setting sun- or it can be in the little things.

Speckles of rock shine,

On the boulder standing proudly,

Above the tree that sway gently-

In accordance to its brethren-

On the mountain which towers,

But only one of the many peaks

That soar through the clouds,

Stretching miles across the sky- 

Now blazing brilliant gold-

As the sun sinks

Saying goodbye to this land

And hello to the next.

All that beauty,

All that power,

Just to make the speckles of rock shine.
