I THOUGHT I WAS OKAY (until I realised you were missing)

I THOUGHT I WAS OKAY (until I realised you were missing)

A Poem by altIIneo
"

Some people never truly leave us. They remain in memory, in instinct, and in the quiet spaces we didn’t know could ache.

"

I thought I was okay. Until I realised that you were missing, I was suspended"in a fragile bubble of vulnerability. I don’t think I will ever forget the quiet proclivities that drew me to you. It’s as if you discovered glimmers of hope even in the most shattered places. In your absence, I fumble through an inky darkness with hands that remember yours. You’re gone, yet you remain. And beyond the fragile boundary of breath and memory, I believe that one day in the afterlife, untouched by loss, I will see you again.
