That smile

That smile

A Poem by andrew mitchell

She looks at me
With lazy smile;
Contentment shines;
A wild child.

She caresses her glass
With her cigarette
Her thoughts free
Emotions  wet.

Her warmth wraps
A blanket, sunshine
Unadorned is the love
Her smile.....one of a kind.

While nothing is said
Everything is understood
Precious our smiles
Because this moment
Will never be again.........

each moment exists on its own... each encounter creates such a moment... and a smile is everything, even if it is never acted upon... and you are right, Andrew, sometimes nothing has to be said in order for there to be understanding

That encounter , that look and smile that can capture us from across a room! Beautiful and sensual write AM .., love it !! :)

This, Andrew reads like a casual encounter with a stranger across a room and has that quality of reflective disappointment that it will never be more than that.

You painted a super sensual scene Andrew my friend - where "nothing is said, Everything is understood" -
This is the second poem in a hour that has that 60's free spirited wild child feel to it - which I love - but whats happening? I didnt get the memo.
