On clouds of routine , time flies

Routine it seems

Makes time, fly fast.

The banality of routine.

Same time, same day, same thing,

Over and over, year in, year out.

Look behind years have passed!

Beware the trap!

Routine, stealing your time

Remember your last holiday

Time seemed lasting, forever

In bliss not rushed.

No routine!

But unaware routine steals time

Comforts mean time flies

Change, slows down time.

Something new,

Appears to slow time

So change!

Breaking the mundane,

The monotony of routine.

Routine creates the illusion that

Time is moving fast

When in fact,

Time is constantly paced.

Achievements appear less.

Life passes in a flash!

All thanks to routine

Escape the mundane

Before time takes

Your life away

With routine.

Ok this has profundity and a message to all of us but surely routine also gives us structure? It is our cognitive appreciation and interpretation that decides on our actions. Certainly had me thinking!

Structure yes! but compare a holiday time to routine time. seems like time moves faster with Routine. Just talk to the great wall of China if it could talk Its done nothing but stand , probably thinks it was made yesterday! but hundreds of years have passed lol

it is always good to shale things up before we become too complacent... time moves onward, whether we savour each moment or not and for many, when the end comes, there is often regrets.... great write, my friend
