Awake in thought!A Poem by andrew mitchell
In bed I lie
Awake at night The ceiling my view My window to the right. The night so quiet; Deathly still. Outside, branches outstretched Against dark skies, clear. Motionless, still as the night. Once tapped the glass, I feared. Inside, young at heart Thoughts run wild The body weary So I'm told I hope to fall In slumber soon. Fours hours to daybreak Come on thoughts! Let's get back To counting sheep.
