Our pastures

Our pastures

A Poem by andrew mitchell

When my gate is open
No boundaries set.
You graze on my thoughts
As I feed on yours.
Our pastures, our minds
We see the views.
But sometimes.....
You close the gate
Leaving the kid behind.

When we share our lives and our thoughts with someone they hold a great deal of responsibility and power over us if we truly care about them and want this interaction. I had a girlfriend who if upset in the slightest with me would not take calls and ignore texts and emails. That is excruciating. You capture that in this metaphoric piece Andrew.
