Setting the controls for the heart of the sun!

Setting the controls for the heart of the sun!

A Poem by andrew mitchell
"

Pinched Pink Floyd's title!

"
She plays her song
On my heart strings;
Pulled..... tightly.
Strumming her fingers
My chords gently
I whisper.
"Less treble, more bass please!'

I was cleaning today and listening to the radio and this song came on called, "I want a Sunday Kind of Love," by Etta James and I knew I was going to steal the title right away. I really try to find something to critique because I love a good critique but...and I want to insert the "F" word here but I don't know if you would find it appropriate...I can't find one word out of place and the last line is sublime. This is going in my library.

I love the title. One of floyds best tracks from their early years and listened to more times than is good for me, but it still finds it's way back onto the turntable every now and again.
We are never happy, are we? When they play, we so want to teach them the tune. Heaven forbid it is one taught from someone else. :)

I love Pink Floyd's earlier work! Thank you Lorry for your time and reviews
When I read the title in your read request I said to myself "I love that song" I am a big Pink Floyd fan. I would also like to know what radio station Pandora was listening to that plays Etta James, I saw her at the Newport Jazz Festival 25 years ago and she could still blast out her song At Last. See how your poem inspires all these great memories with its musical merriment :~)
