A Poem by andrew mitchell

Open she does......
Her love caresses the shores
Of your heart.
Enveloping those who touch,
Lured to her love, nectar deep.
She retracts, so close, too soon
Space to breathe:
Time to grow, she needs
Then she lets go
Her love banks broken, sun shines
He falls in love, her calling
Bright green, glowing, dining
A fly in a pitcher plant .....
Drowning......... she feeds.

this is my favorite piece from you, andrew...

she draws him in like a spider...but her venom is dangerous...she has built that poison up from past heartbreak and fear of being broken again...she is wary...she wants love, but needs space to feel safe.

Ohhh a dark one! Reminds me of the spider hanging in its web I just saw on the porch! Nicely inked.

Thank you Jane. Like the spider to the fly, come into my parlour!
I love the inhale/exhale or ebb/flow of this piece, Andrew... we do become wary after a heart break and tend to require both intense love and solitude... still, we can't help be a danger to those we lure in...nicely-done, my friend
