Where it all started

Where it all started

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Sprawled across the wall
A lover's intent
A message from the heart
Now, a love spent.

can't help but think of simon and garfunkel's "poem on the underground wall"

but i also think of youth, that love that makes us carve initials into a tree, or park bench...or wooden table at an old pizza joint in chicago....yes, there was a feeling that caused that carving...but where is it now?

nothing left but the initials? the indentions in the wall...indentions of intentions.
