More Flour Please!

More Flour Please!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

We're all ingredients
In a World, mixed.
Some are companions
A few repel
Many are attractive
While others astound.
Leaders in the making
That bake the cake.

We wait for the offering, shared
After, they take their huge slice.
Many still opened handed
Empty...........
Just mice!

Ok I wont Thank you Kathie:0
Some people take and take and still feel as though they have not gotten enough. We are all ingredients...what a great concept. We make up the world. As the song sings, "we are the world". Lovely. Lydi**

Thank you Lydia for your kind words
As the nursery rhyme goes:

What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and puppy dogs tails
That's what little boys are made of !"
What are little girls made of?
"Sugar and spice and all things nice
That's what little girls are made of!

All the same would be a nicer and fairer world world, but it seems the head chef is turning a blind eye at the moment.

Beccy.

Thank you for your informative review beccy.:)
this made me think of george harrison's "all too much"

"everywhere is birthday cake, so take a piece but not too much"

i really like the metaphor you used, in the scheme of things, we are more mice than men maybe...

clever and humorous with a point.
