It was I!

It was I!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Who was that
That kissed the
Heart so tender
Leaving drops of
My nectar, honey
From footprints, soft?

What was that
That caressed
The senses, a buzzing
Hungry for more,
Awakened?

Who was that
That touched a heart
Now craving more,
Addicted?

Who was that
That pieced my heart
Now not moving,
So deep?

Who was that
Who stole my heart
No ransom, empty
Bleeding. Left?

Who tickled my fancy
Right under my nose
In broad day light, so sunny?

"It was I....
For brazen am I
When you are....
Undressed. open."

"So why did you leave me
For another and another?
Was I not good enough?"

"The same reason
You will take many a lover
Undressed, open.
I just got there first."

Said the bee to the flower.

"I just got there first." :) how can one be sure? in a field of flowers with so many looking for honey! when all is said and done it all works in concert eh!? ... what a fine tale ... interesting twist says i to the brazen fellow ... 'tis I!
i can not shake the image of a lusty field with hundreds of flowers and buzzing activity ... we do live in a marvelous world don't we!?

Very witty

Not every flower allows any bee to stick to its nectar
Some just are cautious enough to stay true
and wait for a bee that buzzes only in one flower

not like ten million lol

a clever write whose outcome can be predicted if one follows the drops of honey and buzzing sound :)... neatly done, Andrew!
