Shaded

Shaded

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Shaded was her response,
               dark
      when questioned.

"Where were you last night?"

   Blood on lips, smudged,
      eyes  dilated red.

short poignant and foreboding ... doubt and mistrust abounding .. glad she is not mine .. this also makes me think of recent events in France ... i suppose the tragedy is hard to shake and will linger in my mind for days to come ;(
