I survived!

I survived!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I survived!
T'was he,
Shakespeare
who weaved
tragedy in words,
surmountable;
the story told
  repeatedly,
over and over.
    I survived
Romeo and Juliet.

like the reference to my favorite play and film...Shakespeare could always make us laugh and smile...just before he knocked our heads off with sorrow....

It may well be the most often story ever told or a version of it as none have yet been able to improve upon it. I always wondered if it was in testament or jealousy that there are so many versions of Romeo and Juliet? In this case testament is obvious and masterfully done, Standing Ovation! Clap! Clap!
