Her tree gives life

Her tree gives life

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Deep rooted the love,
strength of will, defiant,
proudly displaying her
beauty, tall.

She sways with the play
from he, the wind
carressing her fondly,
softness of skin;
othertimes wildly
the anger within.

Shaking her foundations
leaving her bare
only to touch gently,
once again he cares.

Standing upright
providing she does
all in return she asks
to be looked after...
and loved.

B
Thats the thing
A man stronger than his woman
and just like that
she falls in his arms

she probably has waited all her life just to do that
let go

beautiful

behind a strong man is most often a stronger woman...

and too often we look past that tree, the one behind...that stands upright...moreso than he does.

Such a sweet metaphor, and seems so true on how love can leave you black and blue...or soft as silk and wanting more.
