A plate for two.

A plate for two.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

A plate for two.
On emotions
that love,
a platter placed;
antipasto
the choosing,
a plate for two.
We rejoice
on our offerings.
The love nibbled
unhurriedly
we know our place
mapped, slowly
induced,
absorbed.

So playful and light on the heart
like the nature of love

Honest words are the scary words and thoughts. You said a handful in the poetry. Where we land, we must figure how and why? The words made the reader think and ponder. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
