On your life I saw...

On your life I saw...

A Poem by andrew mitchell

On your "life's" drawing
I saw still.

Mortality frozen
of your youth
now gone.

I wondered
the thought
you had.

As my time
counts down
pondering
in gaze, staring.

Your clock hands
stopped
in the still
for a moment.
