Down to colours

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Down to colours.
Offered all the colours
she displayed
in love and emotions.
He chose....
black and white.
Twas,
only then
he knew...
where he stood.

Black and white, like the chessboard of love. Every game different, with new and surprising moves, we should know the rules by now, but never see the trap being laid. Plus, I never really figured out chess. I know what to do with all the bits, but the rules never seem to stick in my head. A bit like love. :)
