Where did my confidence go?

Where did my confidence go?

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Where did my confidence go?
I woke up
the usual way,
nothing different
only to find
I'd lost confidence...
in everything I do.
Tying the shoelace
to working at work
I looked, I searched
I still haven't found it,
misplaced somewhere.
Then, I found it!
My Glasses!
Still, it's not quite the same
as confidence but...
at least now,
I can look for it.

Still don't know!
Where I lost all my confidence?
Which way did it go?

Quirky! I enjoyed this a lot! Confidence is something I'm usually searching for as well! Loved the line about your glasses. I'm always losing mine too, made me laugh a little. :)

Doesn't take much to knock us of our perch; it's both the blessing and the curse of human consciousness.

Must make sure I don't mislay my contacts. :)

Oftentimes, we need to write wonderful pieces such as this, so that others may remind us that we are worthy poets. Indeed, that is ironically how it works....

Self-esteem is a fickle monster, ain't it? One minute, I'm on top of the world, the next, I'm looking for glasses, just as you mentioned!
