Of the sweat....A Poem by andrew mitchell
Of the sweat....
Of the sweat on a brow I was made one summer apparently.... physical, somewhat mechanical. Pushed and shoved I was, even after. If I remember... Oh! Yes! the pampering began, the unconditional love; Life was grand. I could not have done better! Until....... the real push came I found myself unprepared, lost, scared. The world was just too big! The pampering stopped, the unconditional love; obsolete, no-more, and somehow....... I needed money and it wasn't free! So much for a bargain! Then I had to find love but where? Only to find out I was assigned to do more pushing and shoving; physical, somewhat mechanical. Only to have sweat on my brow! Must be summer!
