The beginnings of an end.

The beginnings of an end.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The beginnings of an end.

More thoughts
of standing
than dirt have
travelled
in the shower.

Twirling to
impending doom,
a whirlpool drains
the end
of pondering.

i like being under the showet,it gives you time to think while you get rid of all the dirt and by the time your out,you are as fresh as a new day...no negativity,no dirt...great piece:-)

Thank you so much Mary. Doesn't the mind ignite when under the shower, flooded with thoughts!.

Thank you Lluvs. So do I as I watch water and thoughts go down the drain.
Your spending entirely too much time in the shower ! But now that you mention it when I'm in there instead of thinking about an end, I'm thinking about a beginning. Must be because your drains swirl backwards down there (g)

Thank you Bill
thoughts in the shower are often left there with the songs we sing...

dirt travels...just as the bad things that happen to us travel with us...and it is hard to wash off the pain.

Thank you J
I have resorted to just taking baths since the shower gives off too many gripping metaphors;
those of sudden endings, of unfulfilled dreams, of unwritten poems of unprepared endings etc...

I love how you ended this....dana

You again. hahaha. Let the dirt wash off and go down the drain and move on. Let your sins be washed away and your life renewed. As the dirt of life is watched away, doom goes with it.

haha me too Mimi since i started writing again!!
Sometimes finding 'me space' can be difficult. When we do get a chance to ponder they are usually somewhere that isnt conducive to recording said thoughts.

I liked 'twirling to ...doom"

I read once that Luther (not MLK) penned the beginnings of the Protestant Reformation on the crapper.
