Yes! About that race!

Yes! About that race!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Yes! About that race!
You got a minute?
Is it human?
Yes, sort of!

It's only with time,
life's run, reaches the finishing line.
The only race whereby.....
we don't wish to win in the end,
crossing the line of no return.

On your mark!
Get set!
Go!

Sorry!
False start!
Can I start again?
 No!

Your time is running!
Go!
Hurry!

Yes, I have had a few false starts in my time. In my forties now, surely I still shouldn't be asking to reset the timer just once more, but I do anyway. I have a funny feeling that I will be in the last of lifes stragglers as the human's race their last. Hopefully.
