How confident one would be...
through life if....
one could not see oneself.
How old would we be?
As old as one feels!
How confident we would be
if we could not judge ourselves?
How confidence starts
from the outside in!
We would all
be beautiful blind!
Just on a word!

"How confident would we be if we could not judge ourselves?"

I enjoyed this poem. It's true how we put so much pressure on ourselves. It's a shame how we are affected by other people's opinions. Great poem.

You're welcome. :)
beautiful blind...yes.

i think others' opinions affect us as they do because we are first of all such harsh critics of ourselves.

We are our most enemies Jacob sometimes! Thanks J
What a well developed philosophy! Approval comes from within, and your verse has managed to do that with such striking poise.

Excellent piece of writing. Keep it up!

Best,
M.

P.S. Does a review of your poem, ironically defeat the purpose of the poem? Something to think about, huh? :)
