Her cosmic constellation.

Her cosmic constellation.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Her cosmic constellation.
Her constellation of stars
painted, had heart,
the image displayed,
night sky balanced.
But in a infinitesimal moment
stars fell all in glitter
on the road of the sun lost,
on the wings of wind
blown to oblivion,
the aurora of her love
denied, discarded:
the black hole had arrived.

Nice work! I very much enjoyed the expansive feeling of this one.

This is beautifully captured Andrew. I don't like to pick favourites, but this is certainly up there with your best. The arrival and departure of beauty in such a brief and flitting glimpse, just like in life. We spend so brief a time in it's wonder, but get lost in playing over the memory of what wasn't to be.
Brilliant.
