The undertow

The undertow

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The undertow
Beneath calm waters
that darkside.
took me in,
not letting go
I was taken
by your friend,
the undertow.
Thrown against dark waters blue.
You had me dog paddling
on your deep breathes cold
pulling me closer
swallowing me whole.

there is always that undertow...and the battle of conscience as we try not to give into the dark side---

but the force of that eddy is strong...we just try to swim through the bad as unscathed as possible...
