His train of thoughts.

His train of thoughts.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

His train of thoughts.
He could not unravel
his unconsciousness,
always too deep,
on a bridge swaying,
a chasm that echoes.
In a void so blank,
a starless night
on tracks rhythmic
spaced moving,
his train of thoughts
travelled on voices
whispering.

This is a great piece Andrew. I enjoyed the idea of thoughts being on a train. I envision the man in a moment where he is mindful of his focused conscience.

Thank you so much Phillip
and those whispers are just faint enough, he can't quite make out what the voices are saying, he just hears something---if only there could be clarity, he could write it down, whatever it is...

Thank you jacob for your words
Loved this one Andrew. Very much pertaining to my genre too. :D
Really liked the imagery and the flow of words. Indeed, our thoughts travel on their own, without any control of our self. Once they pour out, it's indefinite when and where they may stop.
