Well i am not sure if this what you wanted to convey. I read it twice and i came up with two interpretations, I could be wrong on both occasions. First interpretation is that people want things very quickly, not wanting to know the whole thing but what they just want to know. They don't want to take the time to know the person. the second interpretation would be that people have become mechanical. Just following one norm, just doing what they are told to do. No real way of distinguishing them from the computers that help in making our work quick. But no emotional side to them.
