I'm talking doors! I tell you!

I'm talking doors! I tell you!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I'm talking doors! I tell you!
I like doors,
a portal for entry, and exit,
until you find one locked.
I hate it, when you are " shown the door"
yet here I am delivered " to your door."
Someone told me. "When the door opens, another one closes!
So I tried this theory. I opened, closed, opened, closed, the front door quickly.
Nope! Not one door opened! Just a vacuum!
Then someone said." Get your foot in the door."
Yeah! Right! That helps when it's an open and slammed case!
I even asked directions once!
I was told "go three doors down!"
I said. " Where?"
So demanding doors.
Answer the door!
Shut the door!
Knock on the door!
Next door!
Out of doors!
Back door! I'm not going there!
My thoughts were hinged even revolving!
Then I changed, converted, I now prefer
      "Open Sesame!"
How about we listen to some music by either the Doors or Three Doors Down!

I love this! I never really realized how much people actually talk about doors.
I was just thinking, it's too bad you didn't mention having "one foot out the door". I'm sure you could have come up with something amusing about that as well :)

Thank you rocksie
Wonderful fun Andrew.

Then again, without doors there would only be holes and no secrets; how boring!

haha Thanks Bill I know what you mean!!!
It's never my door that opportunity knocks. But thanks for writing this Andrew, as it allows me to use one of my favourite quotes, from one of my fellow countrymen and all round thief, Alexander Graham Bell, who DID NOT invent the telephone,HE STOLE the patent for it and is a scumbag, but the quote goes "Sometimes we stare so long at a door that is closing that we see too late the one that is open."
I usually have the opposite problem in that the I don't notice the one closing until it smacks me in the face :)
