An interview with Cupid

A Poem by andrew mitchell

An interview with Cupid.
Welcome Cupid!
Thanks for coming!

( applause)

Good to be here!

So Cupid!
The question on everyone's hearts
at the moment.
" How long does love last?"

"Well, that depends on the arrowhead used." replies Cupid.
" Sometimes love kills!'
"If the arrowhead is too big, in too deep."
"On the other hand, a scratch can mean love won't last, sadly!"

" So there's no guarantees then?"

" No! Not at all, I'm afraid!"

Hmmh! Moving on!
I hear you're changing with the times.

"Yes! We do shower parties now!"
"Celebrating Divorces!"

" Tell us more!"

"Well, it's either a 12 gauge or a 20 gauge used!"

"Personal preference?"

" Of course!"
" Depending on how quick you want the experience to last."

"Oh! Sounds final then!"

"Yes! Very!"
" It's a Real Blast!"

Bittersweet and wry, how very Andrew-ish.
Andrew, consider yourself lucky that you are too far away to spank.
