I was marooned!

I was marooned!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I was marooned!
When she pulls the tide
from under your water
leaving you high and dry.
          Beached!

Well now I have the pink Floyd tune marooned playing around in my head and it is awesome, because I totally forgot about that track until I read the title of your piece, so thanks bud :)
Very good word to describe that feeling of being beached, left high and dry, with the pulling your tide part superbly descriptive of the fact it wasn't you that washed ashore, the shore came out to meet you.
