Chiselled away

Chiselled away

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Chiselled away.
A sculptured man
he entered
reduced to rubble
he left.
Chipped away,
foundations cracked;
emotions drained,
confidence withdrawn,
conditions withheld.
His well-being shaken
under new management.

Yikes, love never easy. Your foundations may crumble down as well, and then it truly is difficult to build again. I liked the way you presented it. I enjoyed the write Thank you for sharing ^^

Thank you for your time Errenn much appreciated
I used to be shiny new granite, now I am pebbles on the driveway, giving that comforting crunching sound to all who tread on me. Superb write.

thanks lorry
love that idea of management...i see relationships and how we keep moving from one manager to the next and keep getting broken down...chipped away, the heart reduced to rubble...

and it is not easy to get either confidence or trust back.

yes indeed Thank you j for your words
Aha, a job changes when a new manager takes over and often it feels as though the rug has been pulled out from under us. Good metaphor. Lydi**
