At the Manor born,
    housing
confrontation,
      only
      walls
     whisper.

the walls of our mind....they whisper, but it is a loud, uneasy, confrontational whisper...and even though we try to close our ears to it...it's there...i like the allegory...and could take this to mean poor housing...walls whisper their condolences to those who can't afford the ridiculous rent...or just don't have jobs to support themselves.
