The speed of words

The speed of words

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The speed of words.
Concerns travelled
on whispers soft.
Rumours travelled
on words out loud.
Truth sat quietly.
Lies running to
shadows, hid.
Language speaks volumes
on the speed of sounds.

very profound write, Mr. Mitchell...very evocative how
one's words can weave an enticing spell of deception.
i agree with jacob's sentiment in his last statement.

action will always speak louder than words, even though the
heart wants to deny this oft' times, no matter what.

you're always so amazingly talented with your wordplay
dictation. as always, a pleasure to read.
happy writings to you!

Thank you Blackcat for your very kind words, I shall splash my ink on your writes!
sometimes grunts and sighs say more than actual words...words travel so fast they often miss the target, or try to avoid the target.

and truth is in the eyes...and the eyes sit and listen, and watch.

Thank you for your words Jacob:)
I agree my friend.
"Language speaks volumes
on the speed of sounds."
Words can be very dangerous. Best to use old Grandpa saying. "Think before you speak". Thank you Andrew for sharing your excellent poetry.

Was my pleasure and you are welcome.
I love what you say here about truth

it sits silently

while all the bullshit rolls
