I didn't need a rudder!

I didn't need a rudder!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I didn't need a rudder!
Across the table
candle lit, silver service,
the ting of two glasses, smiles.
Impressive, the flirtatious thought
thrown, projected all over me,
hugging, clinging, covered.
I in longing, savouring, embracing,
bringing back time in the moment,
remembering what I had lost.
While the wink of your eye......
had me swimming deep
in your pupil's abyss.
I didn't need a rudder!
