Down the passage far away.

Down the passage far away.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Down the passage far away.

Down the passage, far away
of memories formed
and lost....
I found yours
in the distance;
tail lights fading
into black.

I stared until
you were ............
an oasis shimmering
on a mirage reflecting
on a thought now gone.

nicely done sir! that is one heck of a lonesome highway ..few words, content crystal clear, vivid imagery and very emotive for me ..I like this serious side of you! :)

brilliantly penned poetry here. i love the mystical, touching imagery...evocative of longings.
and i'm always amazed at your stellar dictation.

not to mention the pleasing meter you weaved.

thanks for sharing...:))

Memories - unless revisited often can fade away altogther. It may be painful to pay them a visit but it would be more painful to find one day when we did want to look through them, that they were gone - or worse - that they were falsified.

The second stanza is pure magic.
