The forbidden zone.

The forbidden zone.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The forbidden zone.
My thoughts made sure,
there would be no recollections
for my own protection.
"Past is past!" They said, over and over.
In the traffic of thoughts
there were no "through" roads
to the back of my mind,
nor was there a light
to lie back and read.
It was chained,
and forbidden,
zoned.
