Made me think of Kelly's Heroes, thank you for sharing your words mercy party.
So many historical events became legend from the oral traditions - exaggerated and embellished with each telling.
Very nicely formulated my friend.

My background is from a Scottish Edinburgh heritage with a touch of Glasgowegian. I have a red leath.. read more
legends won't last if not handed down...but some are legends in their own minds...so if only one keeps telling the same legend...it too will die out.
