It was more than a button.

It was more than a button.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

It was more than a button.
Sewn was the little, red,
worn button, hope
with thread and needle,
holding the coat, warmth,
clinging to life on some,
little cold comfort
during a chill so deep,
together united,
the owner and his coat.
