I say ole chap, did I hear Pidgin English?

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I say ole chap, did I hear Pidgin English?
When Captain Cook
discovered Australia,
pulling into the bay
seeing salt 'n' pepper;
little black fella's sprinkled
along the white sands.
He called out. " Do you want some sun screen?"
The aborigines replied." As far as the vitamin C, you can just scurvy on!"
To the English Crown, these fellas were never, very good at language.
Nomads!
They always picked up bits of words,
here and there.

i wonder if that's how it was when Columbus discovered the Americas? i think they picked up more than "bits of words". Lol a twisted sense of humor.
