The assignment was of a musical nature played out in G.A Poem by andrew mitchell
In a surprise attack
from behind, I moved. What was once played as a piano chord on Beethoven's 5th, now was outstretched, placed around your neck, tightly. Using my weight to ensure the pressure applied, turning the noose was the final curtain, snared: the garotte was in G major. You struggled kicking, feet shuffling, on guttural sounds; your resistance futile, but understandable. I tried to pacify your thoughts desperate on surviving: Ssch! It will be over soon, I whispered.... I know....a contradiction on my actions, bestowed upon the target you, violent in your end. However, what is done is done, the assassin's noose, the objective completed, I was paid. Twas a string quartet mourning, a solo concert, while the 1812 overture soon awaits me, home.
