The red light neons ago.

The red light neons ago.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I was no more to you
than a night in passing,
you the flame shining
and I the moth
encircling your love.

reminds me of a video about emily dickinson that i used to show my lit class...a poem called Wild Nights by emily was read by Jane Alexander...and they showed an old lamp with a moth caught inside it.
the speaker here...hoping to get close, but not to get burned too badly...
