Be careful what you say!

Be careful what you say!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Only centuries ago
freedom of speech
sat on a perch
swinging, caged
wanting to escape.

Later, to become
protected behind bars.
Be careful what you say,
one had a dream last night
and was shot.... dead.

Today and tomorrow,
freedom of speech
lies behind ropes
at the Arts museum called Impressions.
