Freedom of entrapment.

Freedom of entrapment.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

As freedom of speech
lies entangled in barbed-wire
over a mind-field of red tape,
bureaucratic blunders,
government interference,
political correctness,
and sheer stupidity,
the last dash to escape
is no more;
hope died in vain
to protect freedom
now imprisoned
in cages fought
out by the courts.

Pete,
"Freedom of entrapment" says so much! Entrapment; lies presented as truth for the sake of a one sided agenda:That is what was on my mind when I read this. "Lies entangled in barbed wire" and "political correctness" and "sheer stupidity" People being led by emotion for its own sake within a narrow place of reason. Of course people feel the way they do and reasoning with another is sometimes pretty bumpy. This part was scary but true in our day: "hope died in vain to protect freedom now imprisoned in cages fought out by the courts." I would love to hear the context of which this was written, your feelings and rationale, for it is well presented and actually lovely.
Blessings, Kathy

don't be, i'm privileged to have these comments.
hear hear! Bravo sir ..well said and much needed to be heralded daily on the hour and half hour ...Nakita said that Communism would destroy the USA from within ..using our own Bill of Rights to do it .. i think about that a lot these days .. clever stimulating title ..sharp social commentary .. plus i happen to agree with it ;)
