When the writings on the wall!

When the writings on the wall!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I wasn't suppose
to know my future,
but looking ahead,
planning now,
I was shaping tomorrow's today
that was coming.

i feel this piece brilliantly captures a sense of foreboding about the consequences of one wasting their true talents in regards to (trying) to chase their dreams...lest it's too late to & one sitting in shadowy rooms being full of regret/bitterness.

i always adore your compelling, satirical, yet hopeful clever use of word weaving that entice one's imagination to chew on

thank you for sharing- x

sometimes i think we reach a point where we over plan...i want to go back to my youth...when i just jumped in head first, with reckless abandon.
