The changing of the guards.

The changing of the guards.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

There was always
a changing of the guards,
with no guarantees
and nothing owing to you,
you are subject to change,
how you deal with this
is entirely up to you.

Stability is time's mirage.

The phrase 'changing of the guards' has so many connotations - change is good in the main; not always welcome but without comes stagnation and perhaps sickness even, of a person or society.
Nothing is guaranteed - absolutely - well put Andrew.
