Under your covers of inpertinence.

Under your covers of inpertinence.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Your inpertinence
was no more,
but obstructive
as one jumped
over the hurdles
you constructed
based on lies to
reach the truth.

Sometimes the truth is in the lies themselves- a person who lies always tells on themselves down the road... I love this witty diatribe. Clever, ascerbic, right on point!

thank you so much annette, i like that word ascerbic, not often used.
Impertinence gone, but still obstructive. Yes. Hurdles based on lies ?And then the truth! That sounds perfectly logical. Good perceptive poem!

Yes,I think it is best to know you lie, rather than to lie and not know it!!! Don't you think?

i'd rather not know i think, to know would bring down trust a peg or two.

Yeah, that's a point. I must make a note of that! (:
and then once we got there, we are still doubtful as whether we have really found the truth or not.
