A rose garden!

A rose garden!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

There was always
a cache of conflict
going on in mind,
while you saw
a rose coloured garden.

The fragile, intricate movement and shift of reationships, like the movements of fine clocks- so well described here...Or is it the conflict within one person to deny a difficult reality? Or is it both? Two people bringing diametrically opposed perspectives into a relationship. Attraction-avoidance, for the better or the worse..One sees the cup half full, the "rose coloured garden,- the other sees it half empty and filled with "a cache of conflict". Or...One person wearing the glasses to air-brush inner turmoil... Perplexing, thought-provoking, perfect!
