Where piracy sails across the seas of verse.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Plagiarism,
the piracy of thoughts
looted from mind,
but written as proof
in the ink of burglary.

Thank you Ken for stopping by
Interesting poem. Overall good idea, however it missed on being true Tanka format. Line one is four syllables and should be five (unless Aussie inflections or pronunciation makes it into 5 ?).

i wasn't following any format, but many thanks, i wish i saw that .
Aaaaaargh! Get ready to walk the plank those of ye that dare to 'loot thoughts' and plunder verse!! Captain Andrew will scuttle your vessels and make you pay the price when your "ink of burglary" is discovered! "The piracy of thoughts"-yes! The most heinous of crimes. This is a metaphoric gem and Master Class poem my friend.
