Thank God I have no faith!

There is no justice in this world!

We had methods
in believing,
not training priests
to abuse children
in the name of God,
and yet the church
protects those
who carry out
these atrocities
In the name of the Lord,
thank God I'm no
part of these bigots.
Their cruel legacy
continues after
six hundred years
of religious abuse.

There is definitely a force of evil and a force of good in this world. The evil (devil) is very clever and knows how to entangle the most dedicated people in their faith. The evil's worst deeds include children. And now we are faced with evil that is more apparent and we are in a war between good and evil which has always been there or here... and it is real. Prayers are in order... the most earnest prayers ever. Amen truly, Pat p.s. thank you for your poetry to remind us to pray earnestly.

oy vey!! your pen is just seething this morn'!! i'm far from being a Catholic or Methodist, (i'm Jewish) ~
have my own opinions and indeed have had my own experiences growing up from a few Catholics, Christians.

i can empathize with your anger upon the topic at hand but i honestly believe that there are good souls, and ugly souls in every walk s of life.

unfortunately, those whom commit these atrocities, are a malignancy in such faiths, and sanctuary for those who believe.. psyché.

whew that said, your immense talent for words are both enchanting or compellingly thought-provoking.
