What the world needs now!

What the world needs now!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

What the world needs now
is a good spring clean,
a real you beaut tidy,
some recycling,
and a bit of a toss out
of people, yes people,
bad people,
even maybe a vacuum.
Empty the trash
and your left with
good people and maybe
a race to treasure.

Nothing like a decent cull,
after all we do it to animals
and that's acceptable.

The last stanza has it...people assume animals are not as important so whatever we do to them is acceptable...so why be any different to the human race, a poignant one Andrew...

You can vacuum the dust but ultimately you will be waiting for it to settle again. The vacuum just makes a home for more dust, instead of dealing with the root problem, which in this case is the people.

A power vacuum would incur and even the least corrupt would find themselves the "dust" that they were trying to be rid of in the first place.

Brilliant poem. Had me thinking and these days that is saying something :p.

That's one way of dealing with things.. have to think on that. Okay, thought! Right, careful planning, guarantee no fall-out, i'll second it. Fine writing, Mr. M.
